Aventus Group expands to Malaysia, strengthening its presence in Asia
24 September 2026

Aventus Group continues its international expansion with the launch of TunaiPantas in Malaysia, adding another strategically important market to the Group’s growing global business network this year.

The entry into Malaysia represents another step in Aventus Group’s long-term strategy of building a geographically diversified financial technology business across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.

The new company, TunaiPantas, provides digital lending solutions to customers in Malaysia, combining Aventus Group’s international experience, technology, and risk management expertise with a tailored approach to the local market.

Malaysia further strengthens Aventus Group’s position in Asia, where the Group has already accumulated significant experience operating and developing digital lending businesses.

Malaysia offers strong potential for digital financial services

Malaysia represents an attractive market for Aventus Group due to its economic development, digitally active population, established consumer credit market, and evolving financial services landscape.

The country has a population of more than 34 million and a highly developed digital environment, creating favorable conditions for technology-driven financial services and increasing digital customer journeys.

For Aventus Group, these characteristics make Malaysia a market with significant long-term potential rather than simply another geographic addition to its portfolio.

The Group’s approach to international expansion is based on identifying markets where demographic and economic fundamentals, digital adoption, demand for accessible financial services, and the regulatory environment create opportunities to build scalable and sustainable businesses.

International diversification as a long-term strategy

Aventus Group’s expansion into Malaysia follows a period of significant international growth.

Founded in 2009, Aventus Group has evolved from a regional lending business into one of the world’s most geographically diversified FinTech groups. Today, the Group’s business network spans more than 22 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, supported by more than 5,000 professionals worldwide. Since its establishment, Aventus Group companies have collectively issued more than EUR 7 billion in loans.

Geographic diversification remains one of the central pillars of the Group’s long-term strategy.

Rather than relying on a limited number of countries or regions, Aventus Group develops businesses across markets with different economic cycles, customer profiles, levels of financial inclusion, and stages of development. This creates a more balanced international business while allowing the Group to apply knowledge and technology developed in established markets to new opportunities.

Each new market is assessed individually, with particular attention given to market size and growth potential, regulation, digital adoption, customer demand, competitive dynamics, and the ability to build a sustainable business over the long term.

Malaysia fits well within this strategy and further broadens Aventus Group’s exposure to the growing Asian financial services market.

Technology and local expertise are driving international growth

While Aventus Group operates internationally, its approach is not based on applying an identical business model in every country.

The Group combines centralised technological and operational expertise with local market knowledge, adapting products, credit assessment processes, customer journeys, and business operations to the specific characteristics and regulatory requirements of each market.

Technology remains one of the key foundations of this model. Aventus Group continuously develops digital solutions that support credit assessment, risk management, customer experience, operational efficiency, and scalable business growth.

At the same time, responsible lending and disciplined risk management remain fundamental to the Group’s approach. Aventus Group has repeatedly identified technology, operational efficiency, geographic diversification, and responsible risk management as key pillars of its long-term strategy.

The launch of TunaiPantas will allow the Group to apply this experience in Malaysia while building a business specifically designed around the needs of local customers.

Strong financial foundation supports continued expansion

Aventus Group’s international expansion is supported by continued profitable growth and an increasingly strong financial position.

In the first half of 2026, Aventus Group companies issued EUR 851.6 million in loans and generated EUR 49.1 million in net profit. By the end of June, the Group’s loan portfolio had reached EUR 468.7 million, representing growth of 37.2% compared with the end of 2025.

These results followed a record 2025, when Aventus Group generated EUR 95.67 million in net profit and issued EUR 1.3 billion in new loans.

The combination of profitable established businesses and the development of newer markets provides Aventus Group with a strong foundation for continued international expansion.

The Group’s strategy is not simply to increase the number of countries in which it operates, but to build sustainable businesses capable of contributing to the Group’s performance over the long term.

Building a truly global financial technology business

The expansion into Malaysia marks another step in Aventus Group’s transformation from a European lending business into a globally diversified financial technology group.

The Group continues to strengthen established businesses while entering carefully selected new markets and broadening its financial product offering. Its long-term ambition is to create an international financial ecosystem that combines technology, local expertise, disciplined risk management, and geographic diversification.

Malaysia will now become part of that international network, further strengthening Aventus Group’s presence in Asia and opening a new chapter in the Group’s global growth.

With operations spanning more than 22 countries, nearly 5,000 professionals worldwide, and more than EUR 7 billion in loans issued since 2009, Aventus Group continues to pursue its long-term strategy of building sustainable financial services businesses in markets with strong growth potential.
